Best Low Impact single exercise machine?

I have a bad wrist and a bad knee so i'm looking for something low impact, that i can basically just do for and over all body workout and cardio

i have free weights and all that, i just sort of wanted something that i could do 1 exercise on and be done with it, for when i'm in a hurry

so what would be the best for a low impact full body workout, do you think? a rowing machine? I'm open to anything as long as it works

Cross trainer is best or maybe the rower. If u have access to a pool swimming Phone Post

yeah i don't have access to a pool unfortunately or i'd do that

i'll check out the versa climber and cross trainer. thanks guys

Swimming first, rowing is not bad either, eliptical/XC machine is good.

Alternatively, cycling is really good and almost as low impact as swimming, but your arms won't get strong.

i've tried an elliptical before and i'm not opposed to that. never tried a rowing machine but i've heard good things

i'd love to do the versa climber but i don't know that i could afford one after looking at them

you know another option would be an airdyne if you can pick one up on craigslist. sometimes people let those go for pretty cheap.

cool i'll check that too

keep em coming guys. thanks

I like the rowing machine , you can go easy , or you can go 100% flatout for just a few minutes which is really tough and good cardio training .

 My vote = Versa-Climber or Air-Dyne,

TAKU

the elliptical machine in my mind used to be for bitches. After reading scientific studies, it has the same power usage and muscle uses as running without the impact. IE, running with no impact. Versa Climber is pefect for mma and the air dyne is a great conditiong tool. Im sold on the elliptical though for pure cardio if you dont want to run or bike.
