I have "Mastering the Rubber Guard" and I hear that it's one of the better books out there. What are some of the other better Martial Arts books out?
My favorite MA books:
Complete Kickboxing by Keith Livingston and Martina Sprague - most comprehensive, in depth look at stand up fighting
Winning Wrestling Moves by Mark Mysnyk - good wrestling books are hard to come by...this one could use some more theory in some spots, but its a great go-to manual for each phase of wrestling
MTRG
Mastering Jiujitsu by Renzo Gracie - GREAT book on grappling theory.
MMA: The book of Knowledge by BJ Penn - puts it all together and shows you the hybrid skills, striking past the guard, dirty boxing, striking to the takedown, etc. Its surpassed the Bas books as the new standard in MMA instructionals.
A Fighter's Heart: Sam Sheridan
MMA: The book of Knowledge by BJ Penn
Muay Thai Unleashed: Erich Krauss
Lots of good books by the Gracies...
OneScoup, I have the boxing mastery book but have not had a chance to get into it yet...what about it impressed you the most ?
The Victory Belt books are all good.
Secrets of the Samurai, for Japanese traditional arts
Asian Fighting Arts by Draeger and Smith
"The Victory Belt books are all good."
Damn right.
BJ's book is awesome
Eddie book is amazing and the twister is rumored to be even better (available in 55 days)
Randy's book is going to be legendary (shipping within 14 days)
Dioxippus,
And Fedor's book will be even better!
The Fighter's Notebook.
Fedors book is going to be amazing. Honestly from what ive heard Anderson's may be the one to watch for.... literally he had so many technique's they had to stop him at over 300.
Anderson's making a book?
Shit...
How about Karo? He'd make a great addition to Victory Belt, doing a No-gi judo for MMA book.

I started out with Fighters Notebook, loved it, looked at it everyday. Now, my new favorites gotta be "1001 Submissions"
*5 lbs. of information
*Over 850 pages
*Over 6,000 pictures
I've heard those are awesome too leo!
Taisen Deshimaru -- Zen and the Martial Arts
Anything by Gene LeBell
I am going to be very poor, if the books ever reach the shops! I already got Guerilla Jiu jitsu, Rubber guard, and MMA book of knowledge, and every weekend I have to have a look in the bookshop to see if Randy's book has reached it yet :)
I heard Ian Freeman's book is good, haven't read it yet though. "A Fighter's Heart" is the greatest.
The Art of War - Sun Tzu
The Tao of Jeet Koon Do -Bruce Lee
Sorry for poor spelling.
