Best resources for beginner......

What can you tell me? I am a whitebelt and I want to know what books and dvd's you wish you had when you began.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Kodokan Judo by Jigoro Kano

Most online sources should have it.

In the meantime, http://www.judoinfo.com/techjudo.htm is an awesome resource.

There is a DVD that shows all 40 throws of the judo cariculum.

The gokyu. You can get it at http://hatashita.com

2 must have books - Kodokan Judo & Best Judo.

also high on the list once you've gotten some experience are the MasterClass series (each book covers a certain throw or a group of throws)

Best Judo is awesome. Russian Judo is awesome (the MasterClass book).

hi KKM!

I will have to grab these books fast. I am going for my yellow belt on Saturday.

Thanks for the advice. I will pick up these books.
