I know there is a Top Team down there, along with some other BJJ/MMA schools. I was hoping to find some diversity in some of the schedules of classes. I heard there is some Inosanto Alum in that area? Either Dan Sullivan ot Travis Downing? These are just names that I've heard of, I don't know anyone first hand.
Also wondering about the BJJ scene, as it seems to be pretty competitive with two big name schools almost across the street from each other (BTT&Neutral Grounds.)
Check out Kevin Howell's school in Signal Hill called Jiu-Jitsu League. Aside from being as cool as they get Kevin's a BB under Galvao. He wrote Saulo's book among others and is a brown in judo too I believe
