Any ideas? I am a poor student so I can't really afford anything to expensive.

I've heard fairtex and twins are good brands anyone have these gloves?

twins are the best gloves i have used. i was impressed so much, i now sell them. dm-extreme.com.

i used to use everlast, tko, etc. a friend has a pair of ringside that i like. i think it comes down to what you like and which brand you develop loyalty to. go to a gym and ask to try different pairs of gloves and ask fighters their opinions.

I used Ringsides less expensive "contender" line of 14 ounce gloves with velcro. They work great, are tuff, and not expensive at all.
