Just went to micro center to pick up a cable and there was a line wrapped around the entire store with people holding computers, tvs, game consoles, etc.

DAmn OP we may have just missed each other
Mine was spent before it cleared and I have nothing to show for it. I wish I could have at least got a new phone or some sweats that said JUICY on the ass, but I had bills to pay.

not everyone that received one is poor. it phases out at an agi of 160k. that's a pretty comfortable living in much of the country.

It will recover on its own once the artificial depression is lifted, and people are allowed to go back to work.
In places that didn't lock down, unemployment is at about 3%. Across the whole country it's at about 6%. That's not a crisis anymore. We don't need to be sending checks to people who are working. We need to open up the places that are still stupidly locked down, and let people get back to their lives. People with jobs have money to spend.

Kind of funny my wife and I are in Florida and went to our favorite restaurant in this area. Normally there would be exactly zero blacks in this restaurant. Tonight, I bet 30% of the people eating there were black and 80% of them had huge plates of crab legs. She had no idea the stimulus checks hit and asked me what I thought was going on lol.
I’ve been losing a lot of eBay bidding since the checks were cut…
