Biden to OWN the debates?

Bill Mahoney - Most the media will SAY that Biden won the debates yes. But he will not win the debates.

It’s like election night. Trump will won & most the media will say “too close to call- we need to get more of mail in votes and there have been some accusations of voter suppression in key states that we gotta clear up before we play trucks victory speech.”

Then they’ll recount votes until they have enough to beat trump.

They will declare Biden the winner. Promise.

They said Hillary wiped the floor with him after every one of their debates, but all anyone remembers of those debates is Trump’s one liners. Trump CLEARLY won those debates in terms of memorable moments, yet the press unanimously said he failed miserably. The same will happen with Biden.

However, I do think there is reason to be concerned in the Trump camp. They have set the bar RIDICULOUSLY low for Biden in terms of what people expect out him. If he is anything short of a total fucking disaster, he will exceed expectations. That could be a problem, as people might start questioning whether the swiss-cheese brain dementia Joe narrative being pushed by the Trump campaign holds up, and might lead to backlash if fair-minded people judge it to be bullshit.

I was caught off guard last week. I thought mumbly joe couldn't finish a single sentence up until then. I was wrong.  He was doing a live q and a and spoke coherently for a good long time. Made a pretty fair point, though I disagree with, on social security tax deferment.  He gave a long and well thought out argument.

Surprised me.  Cause I usually just see his fumbling, mumbling, rantings of an old man with early-onset dementia that we see in tiny clips.

I still think he will be slaughtered by trump, but seeing him talk live in the debate may shock some that he isn't completely switched off yet.

I don't think he's as bad off as social media makes him out to be.  I think he'll give djt a run for his money

I don't see social media making him out to be any more incoherent than what he is when watching his actual live speeches. Dude is a mess.

The Stewed Owl -

I would suggest this strategy for Trump:

Stress, stress, stress Joe. Unhinge him early on, make him stumble.

Ignore time limits, interrupt Biden. Biden likes rules and guidelines - look at how often he meekly stopped speaking during the Dem debates and said "....and I guess my time is up, then!" or complained about how his opponents talked too long. Trump will cause him to lose his train of thought this way. The moderator may complain, but what are they going to do, shut the debate down?

When Joe makes his usual mistakes, like wildly overblown statistics, challenge him on them.

If Biden falters, do some fake sympathy. Ask the moderator if they need to stop the debate to have a doctor look at Joe.

Bring up Hunter and his dubious activities a lot. He gets really angry when that happens.

Push him on his lack of achievement in 47 years of government service. Joe will start trying to rattle off all his achievements (which usually consist of being in the same room when something good happened), be prepared and challenge him on those.

Question Kamalas description of him as a racist.

Agreed

Joe tends to get flustered easily and make HUGE mistakes when he is agitated. Trumps #1 goal should be to get under his skin and piss him off, leading to a ‘look fat’ moment where Biden challenges him to something silly like a pushup contest, or a ‘WHY?WHY?WHY?WHY?’ moment where Biden loses his shit and starts screaming incoherently, or the best possible outcome, Biden crosses the stage and tries to get into an old man fight with him. At the very least, Trump should try to jar Biden into a “you know, look, here’s the thing” moment where Biden completely loses his train of thought and starts speaking in a word salad.

Trump will trounce Biden.

Harris will trounce Pence.

Pence is a pussy who will try and play "Mr. Statesman". Dude has Paul Ryan energy.

Correct. He's entirely too soft to deal with a vitriolic cunt like Harris. She is going to thrash him.

Agreed

His only hope is pointing out the disparities between what she says and what she has actually done while in office. Problem is, he’s such a bland guy that even if he nails her, nobody will notice. They’ll only remember her cuntish moments.

How many voters do you think actually understand issues and policy positions?

Hint: it’s a TINY minority. Most people vote for the person that made the biggest impression on them, or who does something memorable. That’s why incumbents almost always win, despite their constituents being dissatisfied with their performance. It’s also why so many spouses and children of long-time incumbents cruise to victory after that incumbent retires/dies. They vote for that familiar name, not policies.

It’s also why obviously charismatic candidates win votes over boring, staid, technocrats. It’s why so many of the same people in flyover country who voted for Obama in 2008/12 voted for Trump in 2016, despite them being polar opposites in almost every way. They voted for charismatic candidate that was foremost in their minds.

Trump’s greatest strength is his charisma and making an impression on everyone who sees him and being memorable. That helps him win votes. Will it be enough? Who knows. We’ll find out in a few weeks.

yes, i understand that there are a lot of disinterested idiots (although HRC did receive 3,000,000 more votes than trump did, so your conclusion about what people want/like is dubious at best)

you criticized the media for evaluating substance and not fawning over idiocracy in assessing the debates. wouldn’t the media’s job be to evaluate the substance and accuracy of a debate, rather than chest bump over insults?

by this standard, Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho would “win” any debate.

No fook nutz he is saying Joe Biden has been in politics for 47 years and has done little to nothing for the people during that time. So why in the hell anyone would think that if he wins the next four years will be any different.

Case in point; dude was Vice President for 8 years! The only thing he did that had any substance to it during that time is hop on a plane after the election to fly over to Ukraine to bail out his fooked up cokehead of a son…

I almost forgot the other thing he is most remembered for........

Ummm- it’s trump and his cultists that are now claiming Biden will perform well in the debates. Trump went against his handlers advice in constantly trying to paint joe as a drooling senior. Now they (including trump) are saying Biden should win based on experience, etc.

trump land knows they painted themselves in a corner and an otherwise acceptable performance by Biden will now be a tremendous bigly huge win

"drooling senior" may be a bit of hyperbola.  However, if you have been paying attention to Biden's speeches and don't see he is in serious cognitive decline since the start of his campaign, you have your head in the sand.  And that's not even a knock on Biden.  Most people don't realize he's already had two brain anuerisms and major brain surgery.  It's not exactly conspiracy theory at this point to claim Joe might be losing it.

The notion that Trump only appeals to poor uneducated white deplorables is a myth. He outperformed Mittens and McCain among Blacks and Hispanics. Trump voters also had a (marginally) higher median income than Clinton voters. He has basically the same base as every other Republican president since Reagan.

The only difference between him and other recent candidates is that he got higher turnout among key demographics in key battleground states, while getting more polarized results than Mittens/McCain in deep red/blue states (he outperformed them in deep red states and massively underperformed them in deep blue states). His entire popular vote ‘loss’ can be attributed to him getting absolutely fucking crushed in California. He lost California by nearly 4MM votes while winning the rest of America by 1MM votes.

Its, like always, an attempt to tell people what to think. I was actually pretty surprised at how many people have exactly zero plans on actually watching the debates. The main reasons I've heard pretty much mirror what the media has been telling them... anything Trump says will be a lie, Biden is sharp as a tack, nothing will change my mind and I'll just get too upset watching, blah blah blah.

It's scary actually.

My very libtard fam has zero clue that Biden is suffering from dementia/Alzheimer’s. Zero

The thing is, if he manages to get his own name right, the leftist media will proclaim is the greatest debater of all time.
