Luckily Dana stated that he wasn't intelligently defending himself and the subject turned to the refs (penalizing refs for bad reffing).

I'm not surprised he was making excuses already. If he didn't like the stoppage, he shouldve tried to get up instead of staying on a knee. I know people are gonna say well what was he supposed to do? Try to get up, yamasaki isnt gonna let him stay on a knee "blocking" forever. its not like he stopped it the second bigfoot went down, he let him eat a couple shots.
As for the blows to the back of the neck, thats ridiculous. yea, he might have got hit once or twice but thats it. He turned his head, its not like Cain was hitting him there purposefully. Either way, not suprised he had something negative to say

I believe it. I was watching at a bar and was pretty drunk so didn't make much of it, but I told the guys at my table that it looked like he drilled the back of his head on the last few punches and I didn't like the stoppage.
Everyone gets so bent out of shape about shots to the back of the head. It only matters if the ref gives a warning and the fighter continues doing it.

This really isn't in reference to this fight, but I'm kinda sick of people saying "He should get up, if he doesn't want it stopped."
If you train at all you know that even if only a little rocked, or NOT ROCKED AT ALL, it can be nearly impossible to simply "get up" against a good grappler with back control, a one on one, etc... ESPECIALLY when they are hitting you.
It isn't as easy as "just stand up".

Agreed it isn't easy to just "get up", but at a minimum an attempt to roll and get to guard or anything aside from laying face down and turtling. IMO, turtling is a basic request for the fight to be stopped or a natural physical reaction of a fighter unaware, at least partlty, to his/her circumstances. My .02.

After reviewing the tape it wasn't two it was closer to ten.
Horrible job by the ref he should just be fired.
