Bigger Draw - Brock Lesnar or Conor McGregor?

Who is biggest money maker for the UFC?

Brock Lesnar

Or

Conor McGregor?

Lesnar headlined 3/4 PPVs that drew over a million PPV buys.

Has Conor even peaked yet? Is he a bigger draw now than GSP or Anderson? Phone Post 3.0

I'd still say Lesnar. Lesnar could've fought a potato and it'd still sell 1 million buys.

I think this event might hit 1 million buys but after this? What fight can he have that will hit 1 million buys?

He's a bigger draw than both GSP and Silva but Silva was never a draw until the end of his reign.

UFC 100, 116 and 121 combined made less money at the gate than Conor did last night.

Probably Brock. Already had a lot of fame from the WWE plus HW monsters tend to interest the casuals more.

It looks like McGregor is just now entering the peak of his popularity though. A year from now I could definitely see him surpassing Brock if he keeps winning. Phone Post 3.0

Lesnar was never much of a house draw.

PPV selling monster.

Strange. Phone Post 3.0

Rousey, Brock, McGregor, GSP. No idea who would be in a distant 5th, Anderson Silva maybe. Phone Post 3.0

Chuck/Randy drew more than RR.

Chuck/Randy II broke a million PPV buys. Phone Post 3.0

I thought Dana already said somewhere that Conor was the biggest ever, and specifically said more than GSP. Can't remember where or the exact quote but was back around the time of the Siver fight, and he also made reference to the huge amount of Irish that would travel to see him live as well. Now it's Connor he is a phenom Phone Post 3.0

In Europe 1000000% it's McGregor. Just by going off facebook my whole feed was taken up with people shouting about last night's fight who I believe have never watched an MMA fight before and know absolutely nothing about the sport. This included females staying up until 7am to watch it. The social media frenzy was even more than Mayweather/Manny. Brock never had that pull over here and these same people don't even know his name. I'm sure things are a bit different in the States.

In Canada I go to a lesser known Sports pub and see pretty much the same people at each event. This PPV the play was overpacked with crazy Irish supporters. It was insane. Phone Post 3.0

Lol if you saw more hype for that fight than Mayweather/Manny you must be in Ireland. Phone Post 3.0

I'm in Spain. Granted I have a lot of Irish on my facebook but loads of English (and Spanish) non MMA fans were getting excited about this fight. I've never seen anything like it for any fight.

Right now I think Brock edges it. But I think his numbers would have fallen if he kept fighting after the loss to Overeem.

Conor, though, will continue to shine given his age, championship status and desire to fight in different weigh classes. I think in a year or two he may just become the biggest PPV draw in the UFC ever to date.

It did start to get some attention in the mainstream media in the UK compared to regular MMA fights, but not even close to Manny/Mayweather. Geez, Anthony Joshua/Dillian Whyte was on a few hours before 194 and even that was getting a lot more attention here. Phone Post 3.0

Agreed 100% with MSM but I'm talking social media. I've never seen anything like it. Ever. Case in point a 45 year old Spanish lawyer friend of mine just texted me asking about McGregor. He asked me 'is it boxing'? I had to explain what MMA is. When I mentioned UFC he said 'what's UFC?'. Brock never had that kind of impact in Europe. But from what I can see from the Americans here he must have had a similar impact over there.

I'd say Brock just because he was a heavy weight that was already a house hold name. UFC 100 in my opinion is still the best ppv. Phone Post 3.0

Internationally McGregor without a doubt. His win was even front page news in the Netherlands

Just got told by a Russian friend that today her classmates in Saint Petersburg were discussing Conor. She joined in as I'd told her a few things about it on Saturday. They're talking about him in fucking Russia!
