None of that matters. That is straight wrestling. GSP is superior in transitioning into takedowns, and he is overall superior which leaves his opponents vulnerable to multiple attacks. Chael is great at one thing, which isn't as big of a threat. It is the same with fedor. He wasn't dominant enough in judo to compete in the biggest competitions, or in grappling, or in striking. It was the way he transitioned into whatever could dominate the fighter at that given moment.

Sounds like a tough fight for GSP. He is much smaller than Andy, much smaller than Sonnen. Jones vs JDS is an awesome fight!
I can't be bothered to look up specific links to appease your simple mind, however my understanding from reading numerous reports over the years is that GSP was entertaining the idea of leaving the UFC to compete in wrestling at the Olympics. After working with the national team it was determined that it would take him like 10 years to be able to compete at that level.
So he snuffed that idea and returned to MMA, or well to concentrating solely on MMA.
GSP is more athletic than Chael perhaps, depending on your definition of athletic. I'd say Chael has made a pretty good career out of wrestling.
Let me leave you with this thought, because you are right, you're just overlooking the obvious. GSP does have better transitional take downs, well he has good ones, I don't think it's fair to say better. When GSP fights, his opponents have to concentrate and train for a myriad of situations and try and cover his very wide range of skills. When Chael fights, guys KNOW what to train for and what he is going to try and do, and they still can't stop him.
No one ever worries about Chael's stand up or JJ. You know they train solely on stopping the take down, where as with GSP they're devoting time to cover other areas of their game. Seems to pretty clear to me that Chael is the dominant wrestler.

Jones beats Silva, there's a reason Silva doesn't want to fight Jones. Silva will only fight people that he has an advantage, like the smaller GSP, he knows everything he does is nullified against Jones. Don't say he volunteered to fight him to save the card either, he didn't, he volunteered to fight any other lhw but said no to Jones. JDS is a weak HW champion, wont have the belt for very long, he is exactly the type of HW Jones could beat, not saying he would but its at least 50/50..Jones is a better fighter

Go back to lurking buddy. Silva fought Chael knowing he had a huge disadvantage at wrestling and he offered to fight at 151 so in effect, he offered to save the card. Your comments regarding JDS are mind bottling, please back them up with some hindsight at the very least.
