Sorry for the nub question but will the winner become the next #1 contender to fight Anderson? If so their fight is a little more interesting. If Leben were to win I kind of see the same thing happening as last time but maybe a bit quicker. The thing leben has is an iron chin which is only trumpt by Andersons hands and feet.
Bisping on the other hand has shown real domination since dropping down in weight. His fight against Mccarthy was plain scary!
This better not be a no. 1 contender match. I would think that someone should have to beat a Marquadt, Henderson, or Machida before being considered the #1 contender. At least I'd hope so...

It pisses me off when the UFC does this. It's pretty hard for the fans to be able to appreciate anyone but the champions when they have such a revolving door of contenders.
The winner seems to heading to the TUF house as a coach opposite Henderson, and the winner of that fight will be getting a title fight wich is reasonable.
Meanwhile Anderson will be fighting Cote and another one. Okami, Marquardt, Maia, Leites and maybe Filho will have to fight eachother for a title fight.

Someone should have to beat a light heavyweight(Machida, not Hendo)to be the middleweight #1 contender?
Why are people already getting worked up about this? No one said the winner gets Anderson. Okami will get the next shot when he comes back from his injury.

I'm not saying those guys should fight Anderson again.
I would just prefer to establish some order of contendership. I would like to see some of the older top contenders (Okami, Franklin, Marquardt, Hendo) fight some of the up and coming contenders (Cote, Bisping, Leben, Almeida).
I would rather see:
Cote x Franklin, Hendo, Bisping
Okami x Marquardt, Almeida, Hendo
Marquardt x Almeida, Leben, Hendo, Okami
etc.
