Ya maybe I guess.   I don't know much about blood doping.  Is that something usually done months before the fight?   I always though it was what Armstrong and other bikers did the evening before a race to give them the advantage the next morning?

I believe most forms of ped use take place in training camps. Doping increases red blood cell count which helps build up endurance.

That's just one possibility. I'm sure there's other forms of ped use that would be aided by an iv either to mask it or administer it.

When. I train really hard I get cramps really bad and have to take a break. I could see if I was professional trying IV with vitamins so I can continue to train.

Ya it's not rare...you hear of NFL athletes getting IV's during games, tennis players after matches, basketball players before games, etc...  I don't think it something to do after every training session, but in certain cases I'm sure it's very helpful.  Take BJ who grew up and has spent his life training at sea level in Hawaii, I don't think it's that unrealistic to think high altitude training in Albuquerque could have lead to dehydration.

Hiwever, he and his trainers should have known the rule.
