Does anyone think BJ will go down to 155 now? I would love to see Penn vs. Sherk at that weight or any weight for that matter. I just think Penn at 155 is the best for him. He's close to the weight he should be fighting at and his skills are 2nd to none. I'd love to see him make the cut once again.
I never heard the BJ vs. Wandy rumor. Thats just fucking stupid.
I could totally see a Pulver vs Penn match up happening in the future.
I posted a link to a Guam tv interview (he was there with Cabbage and some of his guys who were on a PXC fight card) a month or two ago where he said he'd just talked to Dana about moving to 155. He said he had some new four year plan or something to take the 155, then 170, and finally 185 UFC titles.
"He said he had some new four year plan or something to take the 155, then 170, and finally 185 UFC titles."
Nice to see that he hasn't lost his sense of humor. Stage one of his four year plan might actually work out for him...
Yeah, easier said than done.
That kind of talk shows BJ's lack of stability and desire for a sustained reign in any weight class. I dont know why an org would want to hire a person who once they become champ, they drop it right away for their next whim.
Sherk is a great fighter, but Penn would outwork him, not the other way around.
Penn at 155 (meaning better shape) would be able to suff Sherk's takedowns, and beat him standing. Even if Sherk got him to the floor, I seriously doubt he would be able go 5 rounds in Penn's guard withought getting caught.
"In the WW division, Matt and GSP have his number."
Thats kind of a dumb statement. So far its been shown that Penn can match Hughes in every aspect of the game other than cardio. Hughes hardly "has his number"
