BJJ Advice from Cobrinha.

Cobrinha is the guest columnist for the next Inside BJJ Advice column. Ask your questions. Best question gets answered by him.

It's not always big changes that make a big difference. A lot of times it's just some small detail or adjustment in your game that brings your overall game to a whole new level. Do you think this was the case for you. And if so, what detail/adjustment did you make to really become the elite grappler that you are?

What are some suggestions for cool nicknames like "Cobrinha"? I was thinking something along the line of "Terminatinho".

Also, how do you make your hair look so cool? Do you use product? If so, what kind?

Haha. Seriously though, Cobrinha is a hard guy to track down. He's doing a major solid for me by guesting on the Inside BJJ Ask the Nail advice column. If you have a good serious question, I'd be happy to pass it along.

What's his strategy against bigger/stronger opponents? Also Ask him for some examples of (sequences of) techniques he uses to carry out said strategy.

Thanks Phone Post

What does he think about steroid use in BJJ?

How has the situation with Terere affected him, will Terere be able to compete at the worlds, and will he be at Cobrinha's school to get ready?

What does he miss most about Brazil?

What does he think his most important contribution to BJJ has been?

Sponsors, what do?

How many students does he have in his new school?

I rolled with him at a seminar a year or two ago. When I was defending his backmount attacks, it felt like his hands were teleporting through my hands to get at my neck and finish me...over, and over again. Any gripfighting strategies he uses from the backmount would be awesome! Phone Post

does he like the 50/50 now? he seems to initiate the 50/50 sometimes now

Haha, I asked him the very same question a couple of years ago. He said he was going to show me what he used, but we later forgot to follow up on it.

I still wonder what he uses...I'll find out next time I see him in Los Angeles!

What was his gameplan going into the Jeff Glover fight this year in ADCC? He shut him down and I want to know what he was thinking. Phone Post

What does he think about the berimbolo? When he immediately sits to guard (with just a single collar grip for example), what's he looking for right away to prevent his opponent from doing a quick torreano/run around/leg drag pass?

Sorry man - Cobrinha already answered the selected questions. Keep an eye out on Inside BJJ. We're working on getting more too guys to guest the advice column.

Thx Phone Post

When you get guests to answer questions you should rename the column "Ask the Hammer"
