You are a brown?-- under who?

I dont think you will get a response to that

"I'm not a 'yes man' like these other guys. "

Saying that we believe Judo has better take downs and should be integrated as Camarillo and most high level brazilians, Saulo, Jacare, Sperry, etc.. have done is being a yes man?

Kid is either a troll or a complete dolt.

I didn't expect an answer.  : )  Troll!  LOL!

I totally agree with JoshuaResnick. Do both, but Judo is very hard on the body. I don't agree with Kbits at all.

"Judo and BJJ don't fit. Judo is a sport, so it has a sporting mentality. BJJ
is a real martial art - it's focus is on self preservation, not winning
points."

One of the sillier things I've read this week...

These are an ASPECT of each of these "arts," not the whole thing.

Shen!!!!  You are vouching for him?  Can you explain his thinking???

"I can vouch for him; I know him from another thread."

shen makes the UG.

I totally missed what Shen said.  HAHAHHAHAHHAHA!  Shen I think you move to the # 1 spot.

I think I felt a bit of my soul being sucked out of my body when I watched that Tai Chi clip.

My response to your questions are;

Everyone starts as a white belt even if you have black belt mat skills. The throwing at first for beginners is on crash pads to condition you and start to develope proper teckniques. There are alot of uchikomi drills that teaches you the mechanics of off balancing your opponent(uke) for every type of throw. Head/neck injuries are not desireable for any grappling art (judo, BJJ, wrestling, sambo, etc.)

If you are over 30, start slow. Have fun!

Your point of view is pointless and your arguments are baseless. What I asked was should I train both not which one is better and how judo sucks. But I guess I'm just feeding the TROLL or HIGHSCHOOLKID

I got the answers I need thanks fellas. and gals(kbits)

the sad part is that the fatty taichi guy probably got laid that night by all
of those aikido gals who were impressed by his stunning display of sticky
chi groundfighting power.

omg, you are correct. everything is so much more clear now. thank you
kbits!

STFU Kbits.  How 'bout that.
