im going to be staying in kelowna for a month on business in the next week or so and am looking for somewhere to train some bjj both with and without the gi. due to some previous injuries and getting older im looking to do more private lessons than just regular classes if they are available. any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

If you're looking for BJJ with the Gi, you can't go wrong with either Sterling (DSIL on here) who is a Gracie-Barra affiliate or Tony (Crazy Tony on here) who is a Soares affiliate.

I do both but I'm also an hour or so away (North in the sticks, lol!).

We are located in Vernon 45 min away and are a Miletich Fighting Systems school.We have a BJJ Blackbelt ( privates available ) and are doing no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu un till Sept , then both gi/no-gi. With what is offered in Kelowna and the length of your stay you pretty much set their. I would suggest a day trip to Penticton and us in Vernon just to expose yourself to a few different people, but you got a few good schools right in Kelowna.
