BJJ in PA?

I'll be visitng friends in Pennsylvania the last week in February, and was wondering if there are any gyms in or around Marietta, PA. I'd like to maybe sit in on a class, get an open mat workout in, perhaps introduce my friend to BJJ.

check out www.mmainpa.com for a list of places in Pa

Thanks, that list should help a lot.

Howard the South Hills Judo Club has great muay thai & bjj taught by a brown belt. and didn't Pitt have a small club too?

There's a BJJ school in Lancaster, which is pretty close to that town. It's taught by two black belts under the Machados. Check it out:

There's also a kickass Judo school in Manheim PA.

@ Gordinho:

Checked out Rosendo Diaz's website, and you're right, bro; sorry about the wrong info.

Rosendo Diaz is a scumbag

^^^

Elaborate please?

I don't know the guy, but seems like one of the most experienced BJJ instructors in the area, him and Alex Britto.

Care to elaborate? x2

When my buddy and i went out to eat with him and 3 of his friends after a Royler Gracie seminar they all ordered steaks, big meals, appetizers, beers and we were broke college kids who barely afforded the seminar, so i got a salad and my buddy just ate a protein bar and had a beer and when the bill came Rosendo said we owed like $22 each towards the tab or something ridiculous and i was like why do we owe that since i had a salad for $7 and my buddy a beer for $4. We didn't order anything big on purpose because we were broke and didn't even want to go out to eat with those guys but were invited so didn't want to be rude. Rosendo whispered something to a guy we all knew who was with us and stormed out of the place.

When we got to the car my friend told us that Rosendo said we weren't welcome at his academy to roll the next day, etc, etc etc. He didn't even have the balls to say it to my face which was a coward move.

If i saw him again i would surely mention this to him. The guy acted like i should pay for his meal since he THOUGHT he was somebody and i was a nobody. I never forgot it and never will.

That sucks.

I don't know anything about the dinner Mike C mentioned so I won't comment but I will say Rosendo Diaz is a damn fine BJJ teacher and has always been a great friend to me.

That is pretty messed up Mike C. You don't forget something like that.

What a scumbag! Fuck that guy!

yeah has nothing to do with his bjj skills or his ability to teach because i am not familiar with that aspect of him but his attitude in general sucked.

hey mike...dont worry man, i'll buy you TWO steaks when you come out to my place :)
