Which dvd's do you guys recommend. I was thinking of buying Stephen Kesting's dynamic halfguard, heard great things about it.
We're training at a great time, largely because there is so many good books and videos and online training out there.
Obviously my recommending specific reviews has the potential to be self-serving, but here's a couple independent reviews of the Half Guard DVD.

And the DVD itself is available here

Thanks

Roy Dean's Blue Belt Requirement's and Purple Belt Requirements.... TOP notch... I wrote reviews on both...
Roy Dean's BJJ Purple Belt Set Review
Roy Dean's BJJ Blue Belt Req. Set Review
Those are two of the best Gi Sets out imo.. No filler or "fluff"..just solid techniques, theory, and strategy. Roy is also an excellent teacher..some instructionals in the past just drag on, but Roy is the kind of teacher that keeps your attention and motivates you. They both have EXCELLENT replay value, i.e. you'll WANT to rewatch them numerous times as opposed to watching ti once, maybe twice and storing it away... They also have a lot of extras, such as Seminar footage, Roy and his students rolling, et cetera
Saulo's DVD sets
All the stuff mentioned is good. Can't really go wrong with Saulo. I also liked Carlos Machado's Infinite Jiu Jitsu and you can't go wrong there either.
Are you looking for a specific position or topic?
More positions, escapes, defense, transitions, chain attacks. Pretty much everything!
Lord Kancho - Saulo's DVD sets
also I just got Pe De Pano's "Ultimate Guard" and it looks pretty good so far.
RobbieH - Roy Dean's Blue Belt Requirement's and Purple Belt Requirements.... TOP notch... I wrote reviews on both...

+1. Just got the Purple Belt DVD last night and I still watch the Blue Belt one as much as possible.
+2 for Roy Dean's stuff.
I was not thrilled with Pe de Pano's set. Lotsa promise, but fell flat.

I'm only really interested in the cross guard stuff, so thats all I have seen so far. Is there anything better on cross guard? Some folks have suggested Tinguinha's dvd have you seen it?
I have seen Tinguinha's and I DO recommend it.
I have heard some people say good things about Robson Moura's Cross Guard Videos, but I have not seen them myself.
Half guard-Gordo/Nog book
Guard-Nog book/Corbrinha/B Estima
pin escapes-Bolo (Mike Jens)
Top Game- M Souza/Fade to Black/Marcelo/Jacare/B Estima/Saulo
Back escapes-Telles
Really liked the M Souza even knowing it was not english it is loaded with great stuff!
cant wait for the Jeff Glover series
LOL @ Fade to Black
I just got the Jeff Glover Half Guard and its awesome. I've watched the whole thing through once and I'm impressed as hell(even if some of it is beyond me, a lot of it is applicable for everyone). As a lowbie white belt, I got position 3 times rolling yesterday and managed a homer simpson sweep once.
