Of a generation or two ago I would say BJ Penn and Matt Hughes.. that is what made there rivalry so special.  Today I'd have to look at the list ..

I'd say Gregor Gillespie is special when I watch him fight. I'd like to see him get higher ranked fights next tho.

Do you mean a BJJ practioner first with good wrestling, or someone with excellent wrestling and BJJ.   Either way those two.

Jacare is still my fave BJJ takedown artist, and favorite BJJ fighter turned MMA fighter. Hope he beats Chris. He might never beat Whittaker but still a great nonetheless.

Jacare is my all time favorite BJJ fighter because of his aggressive and clean takedowns. He wasn’t there to fuck around and use some crazy guard, he was there to put you on your back, control, and submit.

I always go back to him ragdolling and taking fedor down almost at will. As well as his ADCC performance where I believe he didn't even give up a point.
