Looks like that 51% statistic is a misunderstood stat. Doing some google searches, it looks like a little over 1/3 of black pregnancies ends in abortion.
So you could say that there are over 50% as many abortions as births. But you can't say over 50% of pregnancies are aborted because that isn't true.
Other interesting fact: According to wikipedia (so take it as you will), there are almost half as many abortions each year now than there were in the 80's and 90's: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_statistics_in_the_United_States

The issue isn't how many are on welfare it's how long they stay on welfare. I would be perfectly fine if more people were on welfare as long as they knew the faucet at some point gets turned off.
