Vantablack, the blackest of black

 

 

 

Here we can see the difference between Vantablack and "normal" black.

 

 

The Vantablack sheet on the left is as wrinkled as the one on the right, but our eye can't see it. How crazy/confusing is that??
The fashion industry has seen a lot of potential in this material (with reason!), but the price is so high their creators won't even release it. Nobody knows how much it costs, but they are planning to use it in telescopes and astronomy gadgets.
