Huge advantage for Gaethje having this fight at altitude. Gaethje trains in Denver and Poirier trains at sea level. Stupid fight for Poirier to take.

 it’s because a LW like Dustin poses as much of a threat to a real “BMF” like Jon Jones or Francis Ngannou as a WMMA fighter does to Dustin

I’m just happy they are doing this with the BMF belt because legends like Poirier and Gaethje are still good but should not be slowing down (any longer) the rising top 5 of the most stacked division in the entire company.

Guys like Tsarukyan and Ismagulov are super talented and in their prime while guys like these 2 legends are on their way out.

It’s not about being a threat, it’s about being a BMF. Jones is a BMF though, I won’t disagree. In fact, when others are trying to be BMFs, he’s trying to be the opposite.

Not sure why people have an issue with the BMF belt. It’s a fun thing and makes sense for certain fights. They should do one if the scenario fits in that specific case. Whoever wins it though should actually put it on the line in every fight he’s in.

I’m surprised they didn’t make chandler/Conor for the BMF belt, as we know Conor loves collecting belts and EGG will give him what he wants.

But ever BLAF knows that fight prob. Won’t happen, and maybe Conor fights the winner of Gaetje/Swamp Trash for that stupid ass belt
