Say what you want but he's the best broadcast journalist in the last 20 years
That would be rather surreal if it happened
Steve Iceman Little - I think Dana wants Max Kellerman.
Max is the only name I've heard that I like. But he's not a play by play guy, and he resigned in 2015 w HBO.

Tim Russert, Jim Lehrer, Judy Woodruff, Charlie Rose, all better than Costas tired old ass.

CRE - Say what you want but he's the best broadcast journalist in the last 20 yearsNo. He is one of the biggest tools in sports.
It was so awesome watching Rodney Harrison make fun of him this past season on Sunday night football.

He may be a tool, but he's one of the best at waxing poetically off the top of his dome free at the end of a sporting event.
Anyone that can't imagine Costas' pontificating speeches bolstering the regard with which UFC/MMA is held, I don't know what to tell you.
He has a way of providing a particular insight that feels very poignant.
Disliking him is totally understandable as he's not everyone's taste, but not respecting his talent as a broadcaster is asinine and shows poor talent recognition. He would contribute greatly to a UFC broadcast.

All the best broacdcasters are Syracuse grads.

drewb75 - New pbp guy will be Brent Musburger
Vin Scully faked his retirement from the Dodgers broadcast chair so he could become the new voice of MMA
Vin Scully calling MMA would be like President Bush flipping a coin.
