Not trying to summon orcus to this thread, but the new guy is more like how Conan was described by his creator than Arnold was. Much more, actually.
Having read some of the Conan stories and other stuff by Conan creator Robert Howard, it's fair to say that Arnold's COnan is a fun film, but it's not the real Conan.
