There's a lot of differing opinions about the Bob Sapp fight last night but what's the most alarming is the fact that Sapp is booked to fight in England against Stav Economou at BAMMA 5.
The Kruth fight was K-1 and the Stav fight is MMA but the real issue is Sapp's professionalism.
His fight with Stav is the main event of Bamma 5 and taking a fight the week before doesn't show respect for either promotion.
I understand that it's not like he's Anderson Silva or anything but it's not really the point at all.
Was that a knee to the body that dropped him?
Why do people pay Bob Sapp to fight?
nostripewhite - Why do people pay Bob Sapp to fight?
Because paying him to throw barrels is just wrong
Dude needs to write a book.
Bullrush : The Sapp Fighting System
Fight looked worked to me, looks like Sapp knew his corner would throw the towel in when he got injured during the fight.
More like BAMMA isn't showing their audience any respect by booking a joke fight like Sapp vs. Stav
RickMartelsArrogance - Why did we not hear about you taking offense to Daniel Cormier booking 3 fights in as many weeks this summer?
Interesting
WTF? All this time and he still just runs across the ring flailing?
lol @ booking the beast and then citing professionalism... fucking kidding me?
Year ago, Sugar Ray Robinson would fight every couple of weeks for a while. Pitchers would throw both games of a doubleheader.
I didn't even think he was still kickboxing. He's pretty useless.
I saw no knee land to the body. Sapp took (another) dive.
Is Kruth going to fight in MMA again soon? There aren't too many LHWs that would stand and trade with him.
Dude looks worse in every fight. It's hard to believe this dude KO'ed Ernesto Hoost twice and gave Noguiera a run for his money. It's incredible that someone could fall so far.
Robin.
Doc T - I didn't even think he was still kickboxing. He's pretty useless.

It was booked as an MMA fight, but the Swedish MMA Federation wouldn't sanction it because of the weight difference, so the promoters changed it to K-1 rules.
I do think he took a dive there, but I don't think the intention was there to do it from the off. He came to try and win the fight in the only way he knows, but when he realised the bullrush tactic wouldn't overwhelm his oppponent early he gave up as he knew he had to fight the next week - with BAMMA probably paying him decent money. If he actually got fucked up and couldn't fight he would have been a few $$$ down so he took the easy option imo.
Just my take on it. I don't think the fight with Stav will be much different anyway...
I think the corner saw that Kruth wasn't the least bit in trouble after the initial bullrush. It was obviously going to be a destruction and they'd rather have him fight again soon.
