Bobby Lashley Could Land With Strikeforce
By Tim Ngo

Former WWE champion Bobby Lashley recently spoke with Sherdog and said that he was in talks with Strikeforce to join the promotion for their highly anticipated November 7th “Fedor vs. Rogers” card ,but was unable to get a deal done in time.

“I have talked with [Strikefore CEO Scott] Coker. I’ve talked with Bob Cook also, I wish I was able to do the November 7th card,” Lashley told the site.

When asked why they weren’t able to put pen to paper, Lashley reiterated that it wasn’t because of his commitments to perform as a professional wrestler for TNT.

“It wasn’t because of a wrestling obligation, it was because of time constraints. I think we started negotiations a couple of weeks before the time and it just didn’t work out,” Lashley went on to explain.

Just because a deal didn’t get signed in time for this card doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future. Lashley hinted that talks are far from dead and he’s hopeful both sides will be able to work out a contract that is fair to all parties.

“I think we still might have a deal in place. I might be able to do something with them, we’ll cross our fingers,” the TNA wrestling star said. “If Coker comes back and says, ‘Hey you have to stop wrestling,’ then that’s the bridge we’re going to have to cross at that point.”

According to Lashley, he only works four days a month for the promotion and is allotted ample time to train with is teammates at the nearby American Top Team camp in Coconut Creek, Florida.

the rumors of lashley vs arlovski had my hopes up....

would be a big pick up for strikeforce

has a built in fan base, a great look, legit wrestling skills, etc... would be an easy fight to sell to the public against Fedor after a couple fights

Plus, both Strikeforce and TNA use a six-sided enclosure, so the transition will be easy.
