Bocek or Hazelett?

I'm looking forward to this undercard fight tomorrow; and is one of the fights at 124 I'm most looking forward to.

Who do you think wins this?

 Hazelett sub of the night

I don't think he can sub Bocek as easy as your making it out.
probably dec of the night

the dec going to bocek due to superior wrestling

Bocek IMO...Mark's ground game is just sick and he is good enough to avoid Hazletts submissions. I think his power and wrestling will dicate the fight and he will win a desc.

Hazlett is also cutting to 155 from 170 which is going to be tough. He did a lot of S&C to get weight on and now he's dropping?? Could play a factor.

Good post. I am definitely pulling for Mark (Canadian). Lots of guys here just dont understand his level of jits is very legit.

Hazlett by SD

bocek is a beast...this is a great fight

^^ I remember seeing him in the Canadian grappling tournament back in 1998 that was famous for having the big rematch between Rumina Sato and Joel Gerson (after Gerson had tapped Sato in Shooto). Me and a couple buddies were saying, "damn, this red-headed blue belt kid is good, we'll be seeing more of him."

And that was 12 years ago, he's had a lot of time to improve...

Bocek all day

Never say never, but I would be amazed if Bocek was subbed. This is a really bad match up for Hazelett. He has that fast and loose grappling style that looks impressive and people like to cream over, but a tight grappler like Bocek can shut that down and win a decision. Bocek.

Great fight but Hazelett.

I think the only type of person who can really beat Hazelett these days is someone with knockout power. Bocek hasn't really shown to be that type of guy.

Easy win for Bocek. He wins every fight that he has the wrestling advantage in. He's completely unsubmittable (unless he get extremely hurt beforehand i.e. the Danzig fight)

Bocek rnc!!! Phone Post

Bocek. Hazelett has looked awful in his last two fights after the knee injury. I don't think his cardio will go up either when dropping down to 155.

Bocek has this one unless he gets careless. He clearly has the better wrestling and his BJJ pedigree is better as well. Hazelett has a tricky guard, but Bocek's top game is probably the best at LW with BJ fighting at WW. It should be a very entertaining grappling match though or Bocek might choose to stand where he probably has the better boxing as well.

ttt for the old school ginger kid from intheguard.com!

WAR KIDRED

Everyone is making this out to be as if it will be a grappling match...
Boceks control is top notch, but Dustin's stand up is not that bad and he has long reach. I think Hazelet's gameplan will be to stand up with Bocek.
Also lets not forget, Hazelet is a guard player, so if he does get taken down, it's not a necessarily a bad thing...

Just to point out, he had Jim Miller's back for a minute and half with a body triangle and an arm trapped and couldn't finish....
