"Knocking out Hector Lombard proves I'm next in line for a middleweight title shot. Honestly, I don't mind flying under the radar. I like coming into these fights as the underdog. I know Hector's the favorite and that's fine by me. I like surprising people.
I think this fight with Hector is gonna streamline my path to the title."
Saltyballs - Wins over Okami and Lombard would be impressive, but I think he would need to go through Weidman, Belfort, Bisping, or Belcher before Anderson.
Exactly.
A hail mary win over Okami doesn't suddenly launch you into contention. Weidman is way ahead of Boetsch.

Who said just his Okami win luanched him into title contention?
If Tim wins hes on a 4 fight win streak. One of those wins being a finish over the former number one contender. If he finishes Lombard then he 100% deserves a shot.
RKing85 - Lombard beating Boetsch could get Lombard a title shot.
Boetsch beating Lombard does NOT get Boetsch a title shot.
I feel the same way and it is because he hasn't been in the division very long and the fact that nobody really knows at what level Lombard is right now.
