Bones will NEVER be beaten

Rashad is the ONLY chance in the next couple of years to beat him, that is just a common fact.

Machida is the next to get beatdown with ease, it won't even be close.

Looking forward to seeing this thread in a couple years.

Sigh...

I have no opinion on this topic.

The word FACT really gets abused here.

You have a month and a half on him
Yet he's lightyears more credible.

People said the same thing about GSP, Miguel Torres, BJ Penn at 155, Wand back in the PRIDE days, Fedor, Machida, etc.  It goes on and on.  Jones is an ubelievable talent.  Can't we just leave it at that and enjoy watching him fight?

Eventually someone will figure him out, and then there will be a new "unbeatable" badass on the block.

He will never be beaten, until the day that he is...

He might be able to out-athlete every fighter he ever faces, but one mistake and one solid shot to the chin could mean nighty night Jonny Bones.

Also OP, remember that Machida was sitting in the Jon Jones spot until he fought Shogun, the forums were alive with histrionics, "who's ever going to beat this guy??"... Shogun gave him the most damage he ever received in the first fight, then KTFO'd him in the second.

Explain how you think Jones is going to beat down Machida with ease.

I personally think a lot of people are forgetting how good and intelligent of a fighter Machida is, not saying he'll beat Bones but this won't be an easy fight for either of them. Phone Post

I remember Machida is a great fighter. But Machida faces unique challenges in Jones that he's never even remotely faced previously in the octagon.

1. Almost full foot reach disadvantage.
2. Jones is as fast, if not faster than him.
3. Has the best wrestling he's faced so far.
4. Is the biggest guy he's faced in the division.
5. Has beaten just about everyone he's ever faced, soundly.

I know Machida is a great fighter. And he's not at all unpickable to win. But if you honestly don't consider Jones the favorite, you're probably biased one way or the other. I hear the question you asked all the time, and I counter with this.

Explain how you think Machida is gonna beat Jones with ease? Because everything in Jones style tells me that he's Machida's kryptonite, even moreso than Shogun was. Reach counters his distance game. Wrestling and Greco counter his TD Defense. Speed counters his speed (Machida's most important trait). How do people see Machida winning? Countering a jab into a foot long, dashing, straight right hand for a one hit KO? That seems to be the prevailing thought, and it just doesn't add up for me.

Still don't think Jones is unbeatable though. He can, and will eventually, lose. I just don't think it'll be on the 10th.

Only the ignorant think that any fighter will ever go undefeated through their careers. Only way it's possible is to retire in your prime and before you have a glass jaw,,,,just look at fedor, he could have retired before he was washed up when he started fighting with giant lengths of time between fights...and ge would have been undefeated. But the competitive nature of these athletes gets the better of them and they always stick around 4 or 5 fights too long Phone Post

Matt Serra showed us that anyone is beatable.

Sooner or later everybody loses. The question is if he'll get beaten by a simply superior opponent or age.

Waits for this thread to be bumped up after Machida takes the title bck Phone Post

This is suggesting he has two nut SACKS. No wonder he's so good. Phone Post

He will lose, as everyone does. I think it will happen sooner than later.
