Bonnar won for sure

I feel Bonnar won both rounds...and should of took the unanimous decision...

TBidness

Bobby lost.

Bonnar made a fan out of me tonight. Great fight!

I think it should of went a 3rd round. But I agree with the decision.

It was a good fight, Im glad to see that fight comapred to last weeks let down.

I agree Bonnar was pressing the fight. He looked more damaged, but he looked damaged even before the fight with that cut still healing.

Yeah, he pushed the fight the whole time.

It was close but that part definitely put him over IMO.

While Bobby reversed a few, it looked like Bonnar got more takedowns when I was watching too.

I agree! He pushed the action and looked great - initiating all the takedowns and exchanges. He landed more than his share standing.

I think he was ballsy as hell to ask for that fight, shortly after getting out of the hospital with that infection. I wish they'd mentioned that.

I gained A LOT of respect for Bonnar tonight - and from the beginning of the show, I picked him as a favorite along with Forrest.

Close and Bobby landed the hardest shots of the match but Bonnar was on the attack/offensive throughout the fight.

I give it to Bonnar but it was close and 2 rounds just aint enough but all fighters know how long it is going into it, Bobby should have picked it up much quicker.

Bonnar clearly won that fight. Bobby whines like a cry baby after he loses. Good riddance to that dude.

Bonnar is a tough SOB. I loved the wheel kicks.

bonner=tough sob,damn he can take a shot!peace!

and bonner won.

i dunno, bonner was more aggressive, BUT he took some good shots from bobby. he had his chances, but honestly, i thought his jiu-jitsu looked horrible. there were several instances when he had a half-guard going, only to wind up back in bobby's guard. it seemed like he was more intent on slugging it out with bobby, rather than use his technique on the ground. this one could have gone either way. just my 2cents, of course.

Bonnar is a scrappy SOB!

Bonnar won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. As I said on another thread, the standup was extremely close,
maybe a slight edge to Bobby.

But Bonnar got more takedowns. The only time Bobby got top position,
was when Stephan missed the Guillotine, and when Bonnar got too
agressive going for the mount. I thought Bonnar controlled the
takedowns and ground. I think he won the figth with 'ring generalship.'

Greg

I think bonnar was the one that made the fight exciting , so Im glad he won.

I love this show.

yep the only reason southworth got on top was because bonnar made mistakes on top. He needs to secure the position and be patient.

"Bobby landed the hardest shots of the match but Bonnar was on the attack/offensive throughout the fight."

I honestly don't understand this thinking. I can see giving a fighter the nod for aggressiveness if everything else is even or inconclusive. But in this case, as you pointed out yourself, Bobby landed many hard shots and clearly did more damage; Bonnar looked hurt several times in the second round.

I don't think a fighter should be automatically rewarded for walking into punches over and over.

There's a reason aggression is ranked last (with only weight difference lower) in Pride and is presumably weighted lower than actual damage and effectiveness in the UFC.

Really, who cares. It just sets up future grudge matches.

All these guys will fight each other again...for real. Hopefully at the live event if they don't make the finals.
