I just moved to Somerville (by Davis Square) and I need a place to train bjj. Is there anywhere I can get to by way of the T or busses? I don't have a car. Also, is anyone going to NAGA this weekend that wants to give me a ride?
Thanks,
-Josh

Isn't there a BTT club in Boston?
Josh, you've been there how many days and you haven't found a place to train yet? I so disappointed in you! :) Hope you all are enjoying Boston.
RDS
New England BJJ in Everett.
go to Sullivan station and take the 109 bus toward Linden square. you will go through a rotary and right as you come on to broadway NEBJJ will be there.
Thanks for the quick replies!!
RDS - I found a place to lift weights, just no bjj yet. My computer hasn't been up until today to post anything. Has Houston fallen apart without me yet?
Question about Boston BJJ: What rank corresponds with Beginner I, Beginner II, and Advanced?
hey josh,
send me an email... i'll hook you up with my phone number and set you up,
Tim
Tim,
I don't have your email address. Are you still in Boston?
"What rank corresponds with Beginner I, Beginner II, and Advanced?"
Beginner I is the first ten to twenty lessons, just basic positions, escapes, a guard pass or two, a few submissions. Beginner II is white belt to low blue belt, Advanced is blue belt and above, and a couple of ambitious white belts.
josh,
use this email:
Tim
Tim,
You've got mail!
Watch out, by "set you up" Tim means get you hooked on H then dress you up in size 13 pumps, a blonde wig, fishnets, and turn you out to help pay his $500 cell phone bill!
TTT for another Texan making his way to Red Sox nation. You're going to hate it!
On a serious note, I used to train with Yves in H-Town for a couple of years but am a Boston native. Give me an email or call if you have any questions.

you can get great all-around training at Sityodtong, including muay thai, BJJ and basic submission wrestling, for lack of a better catch-all term (lots of takedowns, positioning, leg locks, etc.)... it is all no-gi. Sityodtong is literally right in Somerville at the address Kirik listed above.
I'm sure Boston BJJ is great for BJJ gi and no-gi, and Watertown is not far from Somerville... also accessible by T or bus...
Josh, Jeremy who trains off and on at William's lived in Boston most of his life and trained there until moving to Austin 2 yrs ago, I'll see if I can get some lowdown from him or have him give you a ring.
