I am doing a comparison speech for a final. Part of it is going to be comparing the rules that are put into place to protect the fighters in MMA, and the rules in Boxing. I am just wondering if anyone knows of any deaths or injuries that have occured to a boxer from the ropes. Also if anyone has information on how many boxing deaths (on average) a year there are, I would appreciate it. I know the cage has been said to be safer than ropes because fighters may get tangled or fall from the ring, also the 4 oz gloves are safer in the long run. Is there more?
