Boxing Has DELIVERED! Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux SET

In conflict with the perpetual cries of the people on this forum that the sport of boxing is dead, 2017 has been a great year for the sports and is arguably the best year that the sport has seen in the last 20 years. So far fans have got to see Joshua/Klitschko, Thurman/Garcia, Spence/Brook, Ward/Kovalev II, GGG/Canelo, Jack/Degale, Sor Rungvisai/Choclatito, and the bullshit Mayweather/McGregor fight. and Rigo vs Lima is still ahead.

Yep. Joseph Parker/Hughie Fury coming up. Wilder/Ortiz in November. Joshua/Pulev. Boxing has been reignited! But I must say they have to fix the corruption in the sport. You can't rob these guys of wins and stall the sport with bribe taking judges. That WILL kill the sport. Adelaide Byrd and corrupt judges like her have the power to kill the sport.

The CW tourney is pretty big too... we're going to see if Usyk is truly the real deal

I have a feeling Rigo will win it

I'm rooting for Rigo, but I like Loma too. Both guys are good for boxing.

This will be boxing with its two fighters with the highest skillsets. Rigo will be smaller than everyone Loma has faced, but he is vastly more than all of them. Even now with him aging, Rigo will show skills that aren't seen anymore in boxing. Loma is the future and does some new age training and techniques. Rigo will give you evdry proven and sound technique that boxers used to have. The question will be whether Rigo can catch Loma making too many moves or trying to switch angles one too many times. Its a fantastic matchup for boxing purists.

If they can make Crawford vs Spence or Crawford vs Mikey Garcia by the end of the year, it'd be one of the best years of boxing for delievering the biggest fights the fans wanted to see I can remember anyway. Ward/Kov, Joshua/Wlad, GGG/Canelo and now Rigo/Loma.

They've all been great fights too that lived up to the hype. Unfortunately there was controversy with 2 of those fights but at least we're getting to see them.

. Crawford vs Thurman  or Spence Jr vs Thurman would be fun too! One of my all time favorites though would be if we got to watch Spence Jr vs Crawford!!! I would literally pay whatever they want for that matchup. Throw Mikey Garcia into the fold against anybody for a very compelling matchup as well. Boxing has the fire right now, it's all about whether they will make the fights we want to see happen. So far it's looking like they will. Put Mikey Garcia in there with a vet like Miguel Cotto too. I'll watch that. (Looks like Garcia/Cotto is in the works! BOXING IS HOT RIGHT NOW!)

Fight that I cannot wait. More than any UFC card as long I can remember. But being new to boxing last time I really cared was when Tyson was the king.

Lomachenko HL (2014-2017) seems a lot more impressive imo and Rigo going up to face him and being dropped before. I do not gamble but if I would have to I would pick Loma by KO. Offense, defense etc he seems to have it all and facing smaller man but hey I do not know shit about boxing I want to learn so much as possible.

But upsets happen and mad respect for both. I was waiting to see GGG vs Canelo but this I just cannot wait just counting days etc :)

WattMell - "Rigo"

"Loma"

You lazy fucks.

Most of us are competent enough to acknowledge the fighter being discussed with abbreviations. It saves time, and isn’t about being lazy. Plus these 2 have names that aren’t particularly fun to spell. You’re that guy that hates when ppl use asap, ttyl, and gtfo too huh? Lol… pull your panties out of your ass.

I ran into Robert Garcia a couple weeks ago while getting lunch. I asked him about Mikey and he said they are looking at a fight in December. I then asked whether it would be at 135 or 140lbs, and he replied while smiling and said "it might be 147, you know Mikey is crazy." I then said is it a fight too keep busy and make some money or is it a Big Fight. He said "it's only Big Fights now for Mikey."  I'm curious who they are looking at. It could get rough for Mikey at 147lbs. I seen him in June and he looks a lot stronger, but he'll have to deal with the height and reach of naturally bigger guys there. Danny Garcia would be a good matchup to gauge how he could do with those guys.  I suppose we will know soon enough.

Yep. Rigs defense is fantastic and has the hand speed for anyone. These same dorks don't realize he was and is a top p4p fighter. That said, Loma by split decision.

That's pretty awesome that you were able to reach out to someone in the game at that level..jealous af right now..lol. I think Cotto's who they're aiming for..

Plus if you type Mikey Garcia vs Cotto into google you get a bunch of very recent articles of his call out. Many within this last week. They want Cotto! Would be fun, and like you said it will be interesting to see how Mikey will do against these naturally bigger guys.

I dont think Cotto could or would want to make 147. That would be a very good fight. Cotto still has something left for guys 147lbs or less. He is just too small and worn for the top guys at 154-160. I'd lean towards Cotto against Mikey. That's a big jump in size and skill for him.

As for meeting these guy, you'd be amazed how approachable and down to earth they are. I live in the Temecula area and Mikey is in Moreno Valley now which isnt far. I actually was in a Subway getting a sandwich when I seen Robert. Mikey was at a amatuer tournament in Menifee. Both were really cool guys.

Same night as MLS Cup final. Toronto FC winning the title will take priority that night.

but that's a damn good fight.
