What a great fight that occured at Shooto. I had no idea this fight happened.
Chris came the closest to submitting Gomi of anyone I've seen. Very good fight. Very close. The decision could have gone either way.

Great fight. That and Oishi/Ikeda 3, which followed Gomi/Brennan, were two of the best fights of 2002 in all of MMA.

Chris is great...but I don't see how he makes a Kimura series, and then gets arm barred from a kimura by Laimon....(and YES, I KNOW HOW GREAT LAIMON IS!) :)

If Chris had fought more of a MMA style in that fight, instead of switching subs, he would have had the sub. When he had the arm, and Gomi was holding, all he had to do is what he later did to that guy in Pride...hammerfist to the face. Oh well....
