A fight against Johns is a natural main event, once Bellator can do another Dublin card with fans in attendance. Ireland vs. UK? They love it.
Gallagher's first loss didn't kill the hype he gets in Europe. I don't know if Bellator's ready to risk a second loss for him, though, at least not at this point. When the Covid stuff is under control and they can sell tickets, Gallagher can sell out the arena in Dublin for a fight against another warm body with a padded record. Kind of a shame, though, because I honestly think he's a talented fighter and could benefit from a step up in competition. (I don't know if he's ready for a Brett Johns or Sergio Pettis or Patchy Mix, but why not find out?)
Bellator has a better BW talent pool than people know...
Archuleta, Johns, Pettis, Higo, Mix, Hill, Stots, Bandejas, Bunch, Gallagher and Perez.
Stots is a 14-1 D2 national champ who has yet to fight any of those top guys in Bellator but time will tell.
Would be nice if Horiguchi gets to fight in Bellator again if he returns.
