- Fedor Emelianenko
- Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
- Brock Lesnar
- Brett "The Grim" Rogers
- Randy Couture
lol @ all the butthurt UFC fanboys acting like Fedor smashed a nobody. Brett Rogers is easily a type 5 heavyweight contender and would stand a good chance of beating anyone on this list, with the exception of Fedor and Nogueira. It's hiliarious at how effectively Dana White has brainwashed the MMA community.
Deal with it, chumps.
Brett Rogers is definitely not a "nobody" but I wouldn't put him in the top five.
Carwin, Velasquez, Overeem should all be ranked higher. Maybe top 10.
Oh shit, I forgot about Overeem. Updated rankings:
1. Fedor Emelianenko
2. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
3. Brock Lesnar
4. Brett "The Grim" Rogers
5. Alistair Overeem
Yeah, Frank Mir is in there two, you cotton headed ninny moggins.
- Fedor
- Nog
- Lesnar
- Mir
- Rogers
- Carwin
- Dos Santos
- Overeem
- Velasquez
- Couture
I agree that Rogers has earned his place in the top 5 and proved his win over AA was not a fluke. I think he gives a lot of HW a lot of trouble. I would not be surprised if he could beat Big Nog at this stage in his career.
In my opinion he finishes Velasquez, Mir and Couture.
I won't even count Overeem because he is so obviously on steroids that I don't believe he will ever take a fight in the US.
Mir is pretty bad off his back and wouldn't be able to withstand The Grim's vicious ground N pound. Therefore, he didn't make the cut.
lmao
Here's the formula:
If you have any success against Fedor, you must be awesome and would crush anyone in the UFC. Thus Brett Rogers climbs the ranks for his 2nd round KO loss to Fedor and we must all respect his ground skills for being able to reverse, escape, and ground and pound Fedor. Just like Hunt has impressive takedown and submission defense because of the trouble he gave to Fedor, and we should pretend he wasn't taken down and subbed at will by all his other opponents before and after.
Dude you're smoking drugs, at this moment I guess I would put Fedor on top since he is still undefeated by way of avoiding real HW's but here is my top 10
1. Fedor
2.Overeem
3.Brock
4.Carwin
5.Mir
6.Big Nog
7.Gonzaga
8.Velazquez
9.Dos Santos
10.Couture

Explain to me how he is avoiding top heavyweights? He has recently fought AA and Sylvia. He also was READY to fight Barnett, a consensus top 5 heavyweight. Last night he fought a top 20 guy. I don't see in his career where he has ever chosen who he fights. If you are upset he didn't join the UFC, then your opinion is highly biased.
Lesnar, Carwin, Caine, Mir, Dos Santos ALL beat Feddy. I can understand if you are ranking them on some system that favors the fighters record over a long period of time, but I think that is a bad system with the way things change in the sport.
Overeem is not top ten at any weight using any reasonable ranking system. Maybe in kickboxing, not MMA.
Herring In A Fur Coat - Did everyone forget about Barnett? Werdum is also top 10 IMO.
Barnett hasnt beat anyone in the top ten since Nog in 06 plus he's a cheater.
orcus - Here's the formula:What about, if you have any success against Fedor then he is obviously overrated and his all kinds of chinks in his armor.

I can't say where he stands in the rankings, but I really want to see him fight again soon 100% confident. He had some 1st jitters against Fedor man. I'd like to see him fight Werdum next and see how he does against a top level heavyweight grappler.
Werdum would get knocked out. He keeps trying to trade with people and leaves himself wide open. Bad stylistically. Im not sure he would be able to keep it on the ground just because brett is so big. I could see it ending in a knock out 1st or 2nd round.

Youll never understand the sport.
