Bring back the parser?

The "Ultima fans!" thread has me reminiscing about the old parser-driven games, & how their passing into obscurity for the most part killed off the idea of a games with relaxed scripting.

I totally understand that the mouse & solid GUIs brought in a new market that made gaming into something better in other ways, but still different; I just miss it.

I think that voice recognition software is good enough to bring back the parser & still appeal to the common gamer. Anyone else anxious to see this?
