Brown Pride?

do you guys have a problem with this tattoo? I don't really care, but then again I don't really have a problem with "white pride" tattoos either. Not that I would want one.

he's proud of his love for scat.

who wouldn't be?

He's sponsored by the fetish website "BrownTown" and reps them with pride!

Given the country's historical and overal current socio-political power structure, not to say anything of actual significant social movements associated with these different slogans,  "brown power" and "white power" are really not equivalently loaded terms, imo.

I say that in terms of what is potentially more "offensive" but in terms of taste I'm not a big fan of making a huge deal one way or another out of something that you have no control over ( heritage).

And hey, what's up Cliff? lol

Was going to text you (and still will) a congrats message

looks around for "oh no, not this shit again." picture

If it was a white guy that had white pride on his chest somehow I think the situation would be different.

It doesn't matter and you are splitting hairs. Either something is inappropriate or it is not. You can't excuse one race and point the finger at another. Get off the fence Elias.

What are you talking about? What fence? Are you suggesting that I'm crossing a border illegally? I may have to vote you down for being racialist.

Stop talking with some ill placed term and moral certainty. "either something is inappropriate or it is not"

When did the original poster use the phrase "inappropriate" for you to act as if I was avoiding what he was asking? If you are asking that, or if it is "offensive", I think my statement pretty clearly expressed that I don't think "brown power" is as offensive as "white power", Sorry you didn't catch that.

And I'm also sorry if I do not have the brainpower and wisdom to see things so clearly and without any ambiguity as you in single instances. Oh wait, that's right, you didn't even give the question a go - you just criticized someone who did try and give an honest opinion. Bug off homeslice

Since I'm Brown, I have no problem with it.

I agree with Elias. "Brown pride" is more a statement that being Hispanic isn't something to be ashamed of. While "white pride" has racist and white supremacist overtones.

It certainly is ok to be proud to be white too....so don't jump on me about that. As that's not what I'm saying.

Just pointing out that there is a difference between the way the terms are usually used.

who cares....really? If your proud to be brown, white, black, yellow, gay than more power to you. If you want to put that on your body,go ahead. If it doesnt affect your everyday life than it really shouldnt matter to you.

The last time I had brown pride, it was when I called the wife in the bathroom and said "Look at the size of that thing".

thanks man! married life is awesome! You doing the titan tourney?

like i said, i don't think it's "cool" to get a white pride tattoo, I do think however that getting a tattoo is a personal thing and it doesn't really matter what other's interpretations are. The real meaning is the reason that you got it.

I totally did NOT see this thread before I posted a thread entitled "BROWN PRIDE?!" I find it offensive and it is an indication to me that Cain Valasquez is possibly racist.

I'm confused ! Let's let Cain explain . Since he is proud enough to have this written on his chest . He probably would'nt mind giving an explanation on the tat. I also wonder how long he has had this tatoo.

maybe he's a very happy UPS employee?
