The main card of UFC 282 kicked off with a matchup between undefeated featherweights that saw Ilia Topuria score a submission win over Bryce Mitchell.
The differing styles of the two men were on display in the first round, as Topuria was throwing big punches while Mitchell largely focused on landing kicks to set up his takedown attempts. âThug Nastyâ did succeed in getting things to the mat in the last minute of the opening round, but it appeared to be Topuria that had done more damage to start things off.
Mitchell tried going back to his takedowns early in the second round but also had success walking Topuria down, including landing a combination that ended with a glancing head kick. The 28-year-oldâs striking success didnât last long however, as he was dropped by a right hand from Topuria before ending up on his back.
âThug Nastyâ did well to return to his feet but ended up being thrown down again by his Georgian opponent, who landed strikes from the top before grabbing an arm triangle choke to claim victory.
So can we stop talking about this idiot? He isnât even average in the division and is a complete moron. He is the perfect example of why the world both laughs at the USA and at the same time is shitting itself about the future of the world copying the USA
Why did he tap? I thought he was showing up ready to die.
That wasnât part of godâs plan
If the Earth was actually flat he wouldâve won.
âRobGAYYâ Yeah guys like Mitchell are the reason the world is laughing at the USA, not the rampant pushing of queers, trannies, black culture and wokeness on usâŚ. You fâing moron
That first calf kick decided the fight. Bryce immediately had to switch stances so there was some serious damage done. All downhill after that.
Who is this retard?
The world is laughing at RobGAYY
Yeah right dumbass
impressive win
Bryce reminds me of askren. His grappling will win him some fights but his stand up will cost him some. He has no boxing and other than a few side kicks and shit he has very little stand up. And his ground game was just exposed. Ilia is a bad dude as well. I think this loss will age well as in there is no shame in losing to that guy.
It was more a case of Ilia being damn impressive than Bruce underperforming. And yeah, I too think that the very first calf kick was a game changer.
yessiree
this
His ground game is bit too flat
I like Bryce but he got fucking dog walked last night. The questions about his future are justified after that performance.
