if he keeps winning by KO he will fight Arvlovski in time
If this is the case, the should shuffle Eilers and Buentello around.
Yeah shuffle Zuffa shuffle!
Well I'll be damned. I have no ties to Kevin Jordan but I've been pushing for a UFC shot for him for quite some time now. Looks like I finally get my wish.
Now I need to get through to Zuffa on Joey Villasenor. :)
why are you a kevin jordan fan? just curious, not being sarcastic.
Good to see kevin jordan in the UFC, they need some fresh talent that have been showing themselves in smaller shows.
need to get Monson and Tenazig in there now
I thought he was injured.
I can't say I'm a Kevin Jordan "fan", as I've never seen him fight, but I run an analysis of fighter records at www.mmaranks.com/stats. It allows me to identify guys who are doing very well beyond the lights and cameras of PPV.
Kevin Jordan's recent history stacks up very nicely, so I want to see him against the "next level".
cool, good analysis rude.
i think buentello's hand was broken but i guess it's good to go now chief.
Kevin Jordan should step up, but he's should step up one step, not 10. Buentello will blow him out.
"That's lame his hand was too injured for Arlovski but not for Kevin Jordan."
It makes perfect sense to me. I want to see a decent main event too but Paul will probably only get one title shot, why waste it while he's injured. However, if he fights on the undercard he has a chance to come back win or lose. Kevin Jordan is a far lower level opponent and a win could put him in line to fight Arlovski when he's healthy and ready.

You think in a very strange way then if that makes perfect sense to you. Joe Silva said at the UFC that they couldnt get anyone to Arlovski, including Paul... But now just days later he can fight someone else? If you turn down a title fight a given a reason (I heard broken hand) you should be able to just pull that reason back and fight someone else on the same card. Either you're hurt or your not, things dont normally change that much in a week. Im also sorry that this makes perfect sense to you, because it hurts the UFC and the legitimacy of the heavyweight title. To much politics and not enough fighting leds to the interm belt and just stupid shit like his happening. If people dont wanna fight say that and lose the belt or that shot to fight. Also, if Paul loses it doesnt help cause if they bring him back it only shows that the UFC is weak at heavyweight not that he deserves another shot (see Justin Eilers' plight if you have any doubts about this).
give the guy a break!!let him earn his way!!"paul knows whats best for paul" and what's best it seems to be the low road to the title....
No one ever said his hand was hurt - that's just imaginary fanboy bullshit.
He didn't want to fight Arlovski for the money offered. End of story.
Buentello said his hand was hurt. Fighters are showing huge respect for Arlovsky but as Goku said, it could be a case where he is not 100% and can't train 100% which is good enough for one guy but not Arlovsky.
"Buentello said his hand was hurt."
When? Where? Link.
I think it was on an Inside Fighting radio deal.

In an interview with him recently, Paul said he broke his wrist on the last hammer punch he threw. He has just been recently cleared by his docter to train again.
In anycase, even if he did not break his wrist, he was hoping to have his name built up a bit more in the UFC before he fought Arlovski.
I'm sure with the abbreviated amount of time to train, he really isnt clamoring to fight Andrei.
Maybe he can lose the gut for this one.
