Simon has a win over Merab in his UFC debut in 2018 and has a five fight win streak going. Font is the only active UFC fighter who has beaten him, Faber is the other.

Song is coming off a loss to Sandhagen and he is 8-2-1 in the UFC and Simon is 8-2.

Regardless of who wins here… they are not undefeated like Umar, they are not former champs like Cruz, Yan, Garbrandt and Cejudo, they didn’t just beat a former champ like Merab did and they won’t get the promotion behind them the way O’Malley has.

Just saying this is a big fight in the division but the winner will probably have to beat say Yan, Vera or Sandhagen next and even then, thats likely won’t be enough to secure the title shot.

These guys are in the Makhachev/Dariush zone where its gonna take a huge win streak for a title shot to materialize.

Mix has done a lot with the GP win and depending on what Pitbull does in the Pettis fight… Mix has a chance to do a lot more.

If Pitbull beats Pettis and decides to defend the BW title then Mix will have a shot to beat the first and only 3 weight champ in Bellator/UFC/ONE history.

Mix submitted Motoya who is about to headline vs Asakura.
Mix beat Gallagher, the kid who tries to act like Conor and got a Bellator push.
Mix then beat Horiguchi in the quarters which few have ever beat the former Bellator/RIZIN double champ.
Mix then beat Magomedov who was 19-2 and a former ACA champ.
Mix then KOed 19-1 Stots.

Thats a hell of a tournament run right there.

I’d love to see Pitbull make 135 like he is attempting, then beat Pettis and then defend vs Mix. Its a tall order.

We know.
