Toronto – Fight Network, the world's premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, will be broadcasting Cage Warriors 50 live from Glasgow, Scotland this Saturday, December 8, at 4 p.m. ET.
Fight Network's live broadcast of Cage Warriors 50, emanating from Glasgow's Kelvin Hall, is headlined by Paul McVeigh vs. Brandon Hempleman in a 130-pound feature fight.
"Cage Warriors has produced some outstanding live events over the past several years," said Chad Midgley, VP of Programming & Production. "The premier destination for European mixed martial arts, Fight Network has proudly featured live Cage Warriors events and we're confident our fans are in store for another explosive card this Saturday."
The 30-year-old McVeigh (18-7), a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt with seven submission victories under his belt, last saw action at BAMMA 8 one year ago, dropping a competitive decision to Erik Perez. The Glasgow native returns to compete in his homeland for the first time since 2009 and he can expect a thunderous reception from his loyal fanbase.
Meanwhile, the Team Sklavos product Hempleman (8-1) has tasted defeat only once as a professional. Hempleman is riding a five-fight winning streak and he hopes to make a statement in his Cage Warriors debut.
In other main card bouts, former ShoXC bantamweight king and Bellator tournament hopeful Wilson Reis (15-4) tries to improve on a recent hat trick of victories against durable Irishman Owen Roddy (11-3), "The Ultimate Fighter 12" veteran Aaron Wilkinson (10-5) looks to continue where he left off in a triumphant Cage Warriors debut this past July when he battles Scotland's own Alan Johnston (5-1), undefeated middleweight standout Scott Askham (7-0) tangles with experienced Brit Denniston Sutherland (18-8), while Scottish slugger Graham Turner (20-7) clashes with Wales native Nathan Beer (13-4).
