Cain has never been dropped?

Why did Rogan say this? Why do people keep saying this?

Yeah he was dumb to try and stand Phone Post

Watch his feet... both slips.

Mucho Uno - I thought goldy said it.

Maybe it was Goldy, if it was, sorry Joe Hogan

That's not a knock down my man, he just got rocked.

First one wasn't a knock down, last 2 are.

If I hit you, and you drop to your knees, I've knocked you down.

Being on your knees counts as being "down" in mma does it not?

Not to mention at one point he is on his hands and knees, knocked down.

Dawggy - Watch his feet... both slips.

Dude... Not quite Phone Post

I respect your opinion, as well as Winston's. In a MMA match, where a fighter gets caught, and "catches" himself on the way down, doesn't equate to a knockdown. He got hurt, definitely, but when you see a fight in that particular instance, and a fighter gets "rocked", you don't count it as a Knock Down. You give it it's just do, but, the "rocked" opponent can still win the round through Effectiveness.

Cain is a very average striker.

he was dropped to his knees. perhaps some do not consider the knees to be "down"?

Yea I wasn't too big on his striking until after the nog fight in which he looked fabulous ...2nd kongo drop he gets hit with exact jds shot Phone Post

'Some' of the people that do consider it down are the referees and athletic commissions. Just a thought.

Mir's stand up looked good against Nog, too. Phone Post

Not when he "Catches his self on the way down". Not a knockdown. This is MMA, not boxing.

So if Cheik had decided to knee him in the face while his knee and/or hands were on the ground would the referee have let that strike go because he 'caught himself on the way down' and popped back up?

Of course not, because he was a 'downed' opponent. That would have been a point deduction.
