California Open Jiu-Jitsu Submission Grappling Tournament 2004
The 2nd edition of the California Open Jiu-Jitsu Submission Grappling Tournament 2004 is starting to heat up.
The California Open Tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday November 20th and 21st, 2004 in the Gym of Half Moon Bay High School located at Lewis Foster Drive in Half Moon Bay, CA. The tournament will start Saturday (WITH GI) and Sunday (NO GI) at 10:00 am and will have children, adult, master, senior, and women, divisions from white to black belt and from novice to advance levels.
The II California Open already has some great matches and academies from all over the country will be present and fighting to show our strength and conquer our share of Gold! The organizer Joao Pierini stated: 'We have already secured the presence of great Black Belts to compete in Super fights and there will be more to come.

The top three competitors in each division will receive medals (gold, silver and bronze), and the top five schools will receive Team Championship trophies to display in their respective academies.
Entrance fees are as follows:

Spectators – Tickets $8
Men Only GI - $50 / Both days - $75
Women Only GI - $40 / Both days - $65
Kids Only GI - $35 / Both days - $50

The deadline to register is Tuesday, November 16th, by midnight. NO EXCEPTIONS! Each competitor is responsible for his/her own registration and payment. Please, have your registration materials and fees in on time. No registrations will be taken after November 16th, and we WILL NOT have registration during the tournament.
Each competitor must have a separate Individual Competitor Registration Sheet. Prior to check-in each competitor must have his/her own Signed Waiver. Without a signed waiver, you will not be allowed to compete. Registration fees are non-refundable. NO EXCEPTIONS!
To insure that the tournament runs smoothly, we strongly recommend that all competitors and coaches be at the Tournament at 9:00am on Saturday and Sunday. The tournament will begin promptly at 10:00am.
We would love to see all competitors, spectators, family, martial artists, etc. gather in this friendly atmosphere that will help promote the great art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
