Can Obamacare (ACA) be repealed easily?

Trump always says this, but can he? Is this in place forever and we now have to fix it?

Clinton wants to fix it, Trump wants to repeal it. Can they do it alone as president?

A president cannot do anything to legislation, that is a congressional function. He can certainly push for a repeal or a modification but it's entirely a legislative action. Phone Post 3.0

Hillary will repeal it and replace with single payer Hillarycare

When you look at all of Obamas exemptions regarding obama care, I'd say yes

That's a good point.  Just make everyone exempt.

This. Just like a president can't balance the budget. They have to work with congress for that as well. Phone Post 3.0

Easily?  No. But it wasn't easy to implement either.

The question is is it worth the effort to repeal it. IMO, the answer is yes.

It's not gonna happen. With the amount of people who got on Medicaid after the ACA created Medicaid expansion, I'm pretty sure there will literally be riots if you take away free healthcare from those people.

Not all states adopted Medicaid expansion but I believe millions signed up in the states that did. Phone Post 3.0

Even if people didn't riot, it might be a surefire way to make your state go blue if you repeal it and all those people without kids get kicked off of it. For those that don't know, historically, you had to have kids and/or very low monthly income to get on it.

Now, as a single person, if you make less than $1300 monthly, you can get on Medicaid in the states that adopted Medicaid expansion. Phone Post 3.0

Clinton wanting to fix it means nothing. Everybody is trying to fix it.

It won't be repealed.

A public option will be legislated to compete with private insurers. This means the subsidies will shift from the private to public option, causing an exodus away from private insurers that are still bound to the crippling rules and regulations of Obamacare. Within a few years the system will become a de facto single payer system and this government will fuck it up in a royal way.

The ACA is a fucking joke. Phone Post 3.0
