Most of the Canadians that posted to the threads on this forum this weekend really don't care for the United States. Look through the Canada dissing the US thread. Look through booing at the UFC threads, and look at Shannon Ritch in Iraq thread. These yahoos have made comments like:
1. Everybody in the world hates us.
2. You can see why they want to fly airplanes into your buildings.
3. Our troops are dying for nothing.
4. We are still a colonialist country and want to take over other countries. (I kind of like that one)
5. The only people who want to move here are Mexicans.
6. Our major cities are full of ghettos and minorities.
7. That we should basically become a Socialist country.
And on and on. It would be a great promotion to put together a Canada vs. say, Iowa show. The whole country of Canada, vs. in their words "redneck" state of Iowa. One little rural state against a whole country. Iowa would be good, because it is generally a democratic state, and we don't want to offend the Canadians because they hate Republicans and especially President Bush. Or how about Minnesota?
How about the whole Canadian empire against little Gresham, Oregon? The whole fucking country against one little town in America. Come down and show us how screwed up the United States is, and how superior you Cannucks are. Please.
Just to be clear on this, since you feel that Canadians have been running their mouths on American politcal issues, the best way to see which country is superior is to hold an MMA event in Iowa.
that would be cool. i live in iowa, and more people train around here than anywhere else ive been. lets have travis fulton put on a show in desmoines or something. hell, i think he even knows a few canadian fighters. i KNOW he knows at least one
On behalf of most Canadians, i'm sorry guys....some of those things mentioned above are very wrong and the opinion of only a few. Sure, there are a few things that many people don't like about the US but get those people to mention all the things they do like....the list would be long.
Why so mad at Canadians. All the Canadians I have evr meet were really nice (I meet all of them at MMA events, fought some of them).
And the thing about Canadians having opinions about US politics is totally normal. In almost every country peolple have opinions about other countries politics including the US. In the US people seem to be very conserned about other countries politics, like Iraq, North Korea and more. So do not take it so personal when someone has an opinon about you.
Also you judge an entrie country by some people, it would be easy to find a KKK hillbilly in the US to judge the US by, if one person would be all it takes.
Beatts is correct. IrishMike PLEASE stop. You are going out of your way to do the very thing you are upset about SOME Canadians doing. If you truly believe the United States is the better country there is no need to go overboard with these threads trying to prove something.
I love the US and am a huge supporter of your President, but threads like this do no reflect positively on your country in any way, shape or form. Please end it.

canada is AWESOME. as a proud american, i can sit here and say canada is great. canada has alot of our positive values, and alot less of our negative values.
Exactly. No reason for any Canadian to hate Amercia and vice-versa. Two amazing, amazing countries. This negative shit serves no purpose and has to stop. This is why I cringed when someone came on here last week to hype the UFC as Canada vs The US.
When I fought at the DFC in Fargo, Doerkson brought down a bunch of his guys from Canada. They were polite, friendly, well spoken guys, who socialized with me pretty much the entire night. I admire it when a fighter can still be friendly to a person they don't know if they are fighting that same night. This is exactly how Doerkson's guys were, classy sob's. I understand why you are upset Mike, but don't pigeonhole an entire country. It's amazing how an imaginary border can make peolpe treat each other.
