Why would you say something so stupid.

Wild guess but I'll say it was a joke based on the fact Canada isn't known for having a military nor do they need one with their badass big brother joined at the hip

It's only a wild guess from an American who's history classes only teach murica...

It's well known Hitler feared the Canadians beyond all other soldiers...

Maybe not feared but respected.

lol

Keep laughing dipshit and read a history book.

it's an ignorant post given how active Canada is on the world stage for such a small population.

their is a tough bit of reality though...the canadian military is in a "decade of darkness":

"The Liberal government has stripped $8.4 billion out of the equipment purchased budget with a promise to reinstall it sometime in the 2030s."

During the 2015 election, Justin Trudeau pledged to not cut defence spending and to live up to the pledge made by the former government of reaching the NATO funding goal of two per cent of GDP.

Canada currently ranks last in that funding model at just .99 per cent of GDP being spent on defense."

Canadian soldiers and military are top notch, but we are increasingly sending them out with insufficient equipment that increases the probability of failed missions and unneccessary death.

The Canadian military's role on the world stage, despite having a different mission/scale than the Americans' is a proud part of our heritage.

I voted for Trudeau, but i'm angered and ashamed by his parties treatment of the armed forces.

You may want to stick with the current news - in a laughable bit of theatre, Chrystia Freeland announced that we are increasing spending on defence because we can't count on Trump. It just happens that we are doing exactly what he wants us to do. $62 billion over the next 20 years.

Do you have any idea how much the Earth moves in ten seconds?

I had no idea that was possible.

I had no idea that was possible.

When it comes to us Canadians, anything is possible.

Superhuman, bravo that man.

I could probably hit a car at 1K but a man at 3.5K barely seems possible under pressure, first shot, preavailing weather, guy must have ice in his veins.

I've shot out to 800M before so I'm going to say I could keep most of my shots on a 4x8 sheet of plywood at 1000M. That's if it wasn't too windy and I didn't have any coffee that morning.

There are scopes now with built in ballistic computers that work out all the variables.

Good news on my eyes...but still gets us to only 1.4% of GDP vs the 2% that is recommended and committed to their own militaries by NATO allies.

Nope, not at all.

The Cdn forces .338 is the Canadian made PGW Timberwolf.

the McMillan, and the gun used for this shot, was the Tac-50 setup in a Cadex Dual Strike chassis.

Cdn snipers mostly use S&B PMII (5-25) scopes but JTF2 obviously has more flexibility with equipment.. I've seen pics of them with Nightforce optics.

I regularly shoot out to a mile +.. this was a hell of a shot.

That has no impact on this problem as the earth was moving when the trigger was pulled.

You would be wrong.

Google sniper and Coriolis effect.

I guess I cant disagree but most of my physics problems don't deal with large distances. But after reading I get the best understanding when throwing a ball straight up when in a car or when on merry-go-round.

Correct.  On shorter shots it is not an issue.

came to post the same article. Amazing! Good job to our Friends of the North!

Had a buddy who was a sniper and his longest confirmed was like 1420 or something like that and that utterly blew my mind. This is like some video game shit actually not even that because motherfuckers wouldn't even render at that distance in college duty LOL
