Canelo is 5'9" with a 71 inch reach. Williams is 6'2" with an 82 inch reach.
Still have Canelo via destruction tho
Remember when Williams was the most-avoided fighter in boxing?
Me too...
Good fight, this will tell alot about if Canelo is the next superstar of the sport.
They've been promoting him like crazy, he is the guy, co main event on Floyd card.
What do people think this card will do? 500k buys? 700k? What?
Wow , Im not sold on canelo yet
He does alot of good but doesnt do anything great
I am gonna bet on williams if he comes in at as any type of dog
Punch martinez hit him with woulda dropped anyone
GayGuardMooseSaucy - Canelo is 5'9" with a 71 inch reach. Williams is 6'2" with an 82 inch reach. This one is going to a Decision. Canelo isn't that hard of a puncher.
Still have Canelo via destruction tho
Williams still has an excellent chin despite the Martinez KO.
I think this will be a competitive fight. Williams never stops coming at you, but Canelo is a very accurate puncher and Williams is easy to hit. It should be a back and forth fight, because of their respective styles. Canelo takes breaks and will probably give some rounds away doing this while Williams is always working and the judges love that. Wouldn't be surprised to see a controversial type decision in this one.
Williams will out work him. He'll get cracked and wobbled but overall... he'll have way more punch output and stats.
Williams doesn't KO people... so people complain about every decision.
I think Amir Khan said he was fighting in September. If he or Adrien Broner gets on this card I'll order it.
Really interesting matchup. Should be a closely fought decision with both guys getting tagged a lot.
wont do more than 200k buys.
what a dumb fight for canelo, williams will tear him to pieces then williams will force floyd into a fight and beat him too.
wow I will buy this for sure, Canelo is stepping up in competition for this one. Cant Wait!
Martinez looked half shot in his last 2 fights. I figured that Canelo's people would pounce on that. Williams is probably a harder fight with almost no payoff. Williams isn't a household name in America to put Canelo over.
MolsonMuscles - Remember when Williams was the most-avoided fighter in boxing?Sergio Martinez now holds that mantle imho.
Me too...
circa305 -MolsonMuscles Remember when Williams was the most-avoided fighter in boxing?Yea he was a welterweight then.
He reminds me of Bones. Long as reach and knows how to use it. Bones will suffer a similar fate when he steps up in weight.
Williams doesn't use his reach or height effectively. He fights down to the size of all of his opponents and has no defense whatsoever. That's how he got outboxed handily by 5'7" Carlos Quintana.
Bobby Lupo - Martinez looked half shot in his last 2 fights. I figured that Canelo's people would pounce on that. Williams is probably a harder fight with almost no payoff. Williams isn't a household name in America to put Canelo over.
Neither is Martinez, and Williams is a much safer fight.

For sure nobody at 147 wanted anything to do with him, but he was also getting turned down left and right by guys at 154 and even 160.
Personally, I think the reach advantage is overstated with Williams. Even at 147, he didn't strike me as a guy that "fought tall".
TX_432 -This. Even money seems to want none of Maravilla. Jcc certainly doesn'tMolsonMuscles - Remember when Williams was the most-avoided fighter in boxing?Sergio Martinez now holds that mantle imho.
