But what strikes me the most: He’s 39 and moves like he’s 20. Compare him to a 39 year old back in the 60’s or 70’s. 39 back then was middle age, now it seems like with the right training and diet 39 isn’t “Old” in the fight game (mma) any longer. Pretty amazing progression in human athletics if you ask me.

Cannonier is one of my favorite fighters. I don’t think he will ever be champ, but not everyone can. He will hang out in the top 5 for a while, then top 10. I will always be a fan

I think he is not that good in MMA. Cheated in his last fight, arm triangle was terrible technique, and he trains with Masvidal, already talking shit/calling out a lighter weightclass Colby.
He’s also older and doesn’t look that impressive for what his credentials and accolades are. Let’s see him vs Chimaev. Just get that fight over already. If he wins, I’ll be impressed.
In some of these exchanges, we could clearly see Vettori was a much better wrestler, yet he didn’t use it. WTF is with him, Romero and crew?
