Bryan Caraway recently picked up an impressive win over the previously unbeaten Aljimain Sterling and is now 4-1 in his last five Octagon appearances.

Caraway recently spoke to Fox Sports about where he ranks in the division and made his case for getting the next title shot against Dominick Cruz:

"I want to fight for that world title. I want to fight Dominick Cruz. I feel like I've earned that," Caraway explained. "I've been in the sport for a long time. I was finishing a lot of guys. The last two were very, very tough guys. One was a former champion in Eddie Wineland and Aljamain Sterling was a super tough, up-and-coming young guy that was undefeated. I beat both those guys at their own game. If that doesn't show that I'm well-rounded, I don't know what else does.

"I beat the No. 6 guy in the world with striking when he's labeled as one of the best strikers in the division, and then I go out there and outwrestle and outgrapple the No. 4-ranked fighter in the world that's labeled 'the next best guy in the division', and he's supposed to be the best grappler and I outgrapple him. I think beating the No. 6 and the No. 4 guy should earn me that title shot. I'm willing to wait, I'm willing to do whatever to get that title shot."

I'd watch Cruz v caraway but I wouldn't pay for it. Hope he gets a shot though Phone Post 3.0

He's not a needle mover. His girlfriend, Miesha, she's a needle mover.

Jitzuuu - If he's willing to do whatever to get a title shot he has to fight again. Cody is the obvious fight. He's ranked 5 no and Brian is 3. I don't think 2 wins should get you a title in that weight class. Dodson would also be fun to see. I hear Cody is on 203 I'm thinking its against caraway. Phone Post 3.0
This right here Phone Post 3.0

Give him the loser of TJ and Raphie. Phone Post 3.0

Caraway should fight the loser of TJ vs RA. If he wins then he get a title shot. Or have him and Cody fight for the next shot after the winner of TJ v RA. Either way, he needs one more fight before he fights for the title. Phone Post 3.0

You cost me 2 grand Caraway, I had Aljo all day in that fight. You proved me wrong, Lol but its all good, keep pushing for a title shot, you'll get it if you keep pushing it. Phone Post 3.0

A 2 fight win streak nets you a title shot?
Someone should tell Max Holloway. He is owed 4 title shots. Phone Post 3.0

He just beat the #6 and the #4. He has gone 6-2 in the UFC, only dropping 2 decisions. He has finished 18 of his 21 wins.

He deserves a chance.

Holloway is a 24 year old kid who is being built up properly. His record is clean since 2013 because, if you look at it you can see, each opponent has been more or less a slight step up from the last.

Caraway is a 31 year old vet who has been fighting for over a decade. If he doesn't get a shot now (and he arguably deserves it, having just beaten a top 10 and a top 5), he could end up being 35 by the time another chance comes around. His chances then will be significantly lower.

Surely, you can see why he's asking for one now.

True. Different division but Max defitently is due for a title shot Phone Post 3.0

I wouldn't call the win over Sterling "impressive". He got dominated in the 1st and then eked out rounds 2 and 3. It probably should have been a draw.

Caraway/Garbrandt is a good fight to make. If Caraway wins that, then put him in with someone like Dodson or Faber and if he wins THAT then a title shot is warranted.

It has to be the winner of the TJ/Assuncao rematch. Caraway can take another fight in the meantime and try to make a statement Phone Post 3.0

TJ just lost.

Kinda tired of the instant rematch/1 win and a rematch.

assuncao already deserves it and will even more when he beats tj

caraway should avenge his loss against mizugaki first

As a big Bryan Caraway fan... He deserves to call noone out after denying so many fighters the chance to fight him. I love the guy as well as Miesha but he needs to fight top guys and quit turning down opponents. He could've had a title shot but he said no to fight Urijah Faber. Phone Post 3.0
